How to kill peace in the Middle East

Israel has my heart always. The Nazi Shoah in 1930s/40s Germany led to the inevitability and necessity of the State of Israel. That’s how I feel and always will.
But that doesn’t mean that I give my heart to Netanyahu’s Israel or Trump’s Israel.

The 2-state system originally outlined for Palestine (Arabs/Jews) by the UN in 1949, collapsed immediately when every Arab country in the Mid-East attacked the brand new country. Israel won that war. When Egypt attacked Israel in 1967, Israel won that war too and took territory beyond the original boundaries given them by the UN. They did so to remain safer from these attacks.

But that was then. This is now. David (Israel) is becoming Goliath. Reporting by the New York Times makes me very sad.
The President of Israel did NOT need to give his speech that day. It was a High Holiday for the Arabs in Jerusalem. Yes, there was a holiday in Israel as well, but who strode in and pulled the plug? Look what happened. Nothing will change without respect. Sounds simple? Then why can’t it ever happen?

Just as a lunatic mob was unleashed by Ex-President Donald Trump to ransack our Capitol on Jan. 6 in a last-ditch effort to overturn the election results he lost, so Netanyahu (Bibi) and Hamas each exploited or nurtured their own mobs to prevent an unprecedented national unity government from emerging in Israel — a cabinet that for the first time would have included Israeli Jews and Israeli Arab Muslims together. Bibi and Hamas have kept power by inspiring and riding waves of hostility to “the other.” That works for them, not their countries: Palestine and Israel.
Keep in mind, just weeks before Israel soldiers walked into this Jerusalem mosque and yanked the plug out of the wall so the speakers broadcasting their high holiday went dead—Netanyahu failed to form a government; instead an unprecedented national unity coalition was finally taking shape in Israel! Under the leadership of the secular-centrist Yair Lapid and the religious-rightist Naftali Bennett, Israel was was on the verge of forging a cabinet that would include both Israeli Jews and, for the first time ever, an Israeli Arab Islamist party.

Just as a mob was unleashed by Ex-President Donald Trump to ransack our Capitol on Jan. 6 in a last-ditch effort to overturn the election results he lost, and prevent a healing unifier from becoming president, so Netanyahu (Bibi) and Hamas each exploited or nurtured their own mobs to prevent an unprecedented national unity government from emerging in Israel — a cabinet that for the first time would have included Israeli Jews and Israeli Arab Muslims together.

Had this taken place, Netanyahu would have been out. Period. Who, then, do you think gave the order to pull the plug on that speaker on the high holiday of Ramadan? Who benefited, Bibi?!

Yes, again children are dying in the streets. Traumatized forever. The next generation of terrorists to seek revenge on us all.

Those with power—for whatever reason—must do nothing without regard for others. Power only gives you the power—not the right. Two very different things.
